ACE - A Communications Expert! - it all started…
Late in 2006 after returning from a vacation to an expected promotion, David Anderson, discovered the manufacturer-direct company he worked for had decided to retrench, had laid off the sales team, and had closed its Silicon Valley office, worse, no promotion. A few months later, the company was acquired by an industry rival. Consolidation -confusion ensued, both at the corporate level and in the channel.
Decisions, look for a job, or go independent? Using his 25-plus years of industry experience, as a National Director of Sales, VP of Sales, and Owner/Entrepreneur, David decided to launch ACE-A Communication Expert. ACE was dedicated to helping companies improve their communications systems, especially around Unified Communications and Contact Center. Also, ACE advised companies in designing sales compensation programs, leveraging the knowledge of how manufacturers compensate and incentivize their vendors. Over the next two years success followed success.
In late 2008, David received an offer he could not refuse, to sell major accounts and contact centers for a world-wide technology leader. Using his industry knowledge and ACE experience, David helped dozens of intermediate and large clients save, in some cases, hundreds of thousands of dollars on their procurement of telecom and contact center technology. With over years of successful selling to multi-national, national and regional companies, David saw a demonstration of the ShoreTel Solution, and after the successful implementation of one last large project, David moved to the ShoreTel Channel to offer its “brilliantly simple” solution.
David has spent the last seven years in that Channel. The last five building a successful SLED (State Local Education) practice. However, in the past two years, a Great Consolidation, has seen ShoreTel, and Toshiba, acquired by Mitel, and the Cloud communications companies have collapsed the telecom marketplace, and many traditional telecom vendors have downsized, consolidated or are gone.
A combination of a major downsizing and an announced merger at the local vendor, compelled David to go to back the garage and dust off the desk, and restart ACE. This time leveraging both the Public and Private Cloud options, and using his insider knowledge of how the telecom industry works to aid Mid-Sized and Enterprise Client in the acquisition of IP Voice systems. ACE – A Communications Expert is back, as ACE Knows Voice! (A Communications Expert Knows Voice).
